Response Training Named Finalist in the 2026 Australian Training Awards
Response Employment and Training (Response Training) is proud to announce that we have been named a national finalist in the 2026 Australian Training Awards – Small Training Provider of the Year category.
This national recognition is a significant achievement for our Northern Territory-based registered training organisation and reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, inclusive and accessible vocational education and training.
For more than a decade, Response Training has worked closely with employers, communities and industry partners to create meaningful training and employment pathways, with a particular focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners and people living and working in regional and remote communities.
Our approach goes beyond delivering qualifications. We recognise that successful training must respond to the individual needs of learners, the realities of remote workplaces and the cultural and community contexts in which we operate.
Through flexible, workplace-based and culturally responsive training, we support learners to build confidence, develop practical skills, achieve nationally recognised qualifications and contribute to stronger local workforces.
Being selected as a national finalist is a testament to the dedication of our team, as well as the commitment of our learners, employers and community partners.
Our success is built on strong relationships, personalised learner support and a shared belief that access to quality education and training should not be determined by geography or personal circumstances.

We are thrilled to share that our student Jacqueline Florance was named Vocational Student of the Year in the prestigious 2025 Northern Territory Training Awards, and her fellow student Tracy Anderson was a very well deserved runner up! Both of these amazing students worked whilst they completed their studies, neither had been in a classroom for a very long time. We are so proud of their achievements and were very excited to celebrate with them on the night.

Australian Training Awards Finalist 2024
Response Employment and Training has been awarded the prestigious Bronze Medal for the VET in Innovation category at the 2024 Australian Training Awards.
This recognition highlights our innovative approach to delivering vocational education tailored to regional and remote communities across the Northern Territory. Our programs are designed to equip learners with practical and culturally relevant skills, opening doors to meaningful employment opportunities while fostering professional growth.
Our approach is a strong focus on community-led training. By empowering local community members and staff to become work skills instructors, we have ensured sustainable, on-the-ground training solutions.
This model not only builds local capacity but also strengthens the connection between training and the unique needs of each community. "This award acknowledges the innovation and commitment our team brings to empowering communities through education,” said CEO Sally Morris.
