If you are finding your course hard, please talk with your trainer or another staff member. You do not have to struggle on your own. We are here to listen and to help you work out what support might make learning easier for you.


We can help in different ways, depending on what you need. This can include extra help outside of class, going o

If you are finding your course hard, please talk with your trainer or another staff member. You do not have to struggle on your own. We are here to listen and to help you work out what support might make learning easier for you.


We can help in different ways, depending on what you need. This can include extra help outside of class, going over learning materials again, or having someone mentor or coach you. We can also help with reading, writing, or numbers, and where needed, assessments can be done by talking instead of writing. If required, we can also arrange support like a reader or a writer (scribe) to help you show what you know.

Sometimes things at home, with family, health, work, or other worries can make study hard. If this happens, it’s okay to tell us. You don’t have to handle it on your own. We will listen properly, be respectful, and keep your story private while we try to understand what’s going on for you.

The RTO can help in different ways, depending on what you need. This might mean extra help with learning, changing training or assessment times where we can, or helping you link in with other support services in the community. Everyone’s situation is different, so support is not the same for everyone.


We can sit down together and yarn about what support will help you most. The goal is to help you feel safe, supported, and able to keep going with your training, so you have a strong chance to finish your course and reach your goals.

When you are a student with Response Employment and Training, you have rights. These rights are there to make sure you are treated fair, feel safe, and are supported while you are learning.

You have the right to be treated fair and with respect, and the right to learn in a safe place. You have the right to get good training, to ask for help when you need it, and to change your mind during the cooling-off time. You also have rights if your training does not go ahead, and the right to give feedback or make a complaint if something is not right.


We are here to help you understand your rights and to support you during your training journey. You can find more information about your rights in the Student Handbook, and staff can yarn with you anytime if you have questions or concerns.
